2020 Brand + Marketing Visionaries was thrilled to recently launch a brand new e-commerce website for Garrett’s – Limerick’s Quality Butchers. The concept for the project was to design and build a new mobile-responsive website for Garrett’s which would enable our client to sell products online and leverage a new ‘Click & Collect’ concept that so many other businesses are now using very successfully. The new website also includes information about both of Garrett’s stores, as well as providing recipes, podcasts, videos and nutritional information through its blog feature.
Garrett’s is an extremely well-established business. It celebrated a 10-year milestone in 2014. In looking at a new website, Garrett and Fiona had a very clear direction of how they wanted to advance the business further. Garrett’s is built on quality food and providing added value to its customers. Garrett and Fiona were looking for a platform through which they could promote the Garrett’s brand digitally, both locally and nationally.
From 2020’s perspective, it was vitally important that the Garrett’s unique brand story be brought to life online. We have worked very closely with the business over the past number of years to manage and execute its marketing strategy, which has led to sustained year-on-year growth. Therefore, as we set out to build the new website, it was a priority for us that it would reflect the ‘personality’ of the brand in both design and tone.
Commenting on the new website, 2020 Brand + Marketing Visionaries’ Head of Marketing Communications, Patrick Hogan, said: “We wanted the new site to be welcoming when connecting with an online audience, just like the warm in-store welcome experience you get at Garrett’s. This has been achieved through the creation of bespoke graphic images throughout the site and easy access to resources created by Garrett and Fiona themselves. We particularly love the ‘Garrett’s Corner’ section of the site with delicious recipes and nutritional blogs written by Fiona and an innovative podcast series focusing on great ideas for leftovers recorded by Garrett!”
Garrett’s has received hugely positive feedback since the new website went live, with a particularly strong interest for the new ‘Click & Collect’ service to be rolled out initially in the Castletroy store. Commenting on the launch, Garrett’s Director, Fiona Madigan, said: “We are delighted with the new site for the opportunity it will give us to enhance the relationship with our existing customers, as well as promoting Garrett’s to a whole new customer audience throughout the country as well. We have found over the years that, due to a lack of time when shopping, many customers are looking for as much convenience as possible. With our new ‘Click & Collect’ service on the site as well as our recipe section that includes helpful cooking instructions, we hope to make our customers lives even easier!”
